Jan-Michelle Sawyer specializes in creating traditional and contemporary sculptures in bronze.
With a Ph.D. from California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in Transformative Learning and Change in Human Systems, Jan-Michelle’s career has been as an educator. Her profession as a sculptor has been influenced by a philosophy embedded in education that every sculpture should inform, educate and inspire the viewer.
As a Kama’aina Jan-Michelle’s love of Hawaii has been an integral inspiration to her in becoming a sculptor. Jan-Michelle’s studio is nestled among the beautiful pine trees in the Sierra Foothills.
